GIG-2021 Round 1 Questions

Here we go! For the new guys, this is a mostly fun way to stay engaged with MSB during the regular season. But also on the line are the 4.21, 5.21, and 6.21 draft picks for the 2022 MiL draft (for the first, second, and third place finishers). Good luck to all!

The season starts Monday, so get your answers in by Sunday night, just to be safe. Round One is through April 17’s games (13 total games).

1) Jason's ACLs deserve to be the first question, considering their record setting performance in 2020. And if you've simming at all in the last couple weeks, you're probably seeing what I'm seeing: The best record in the league consistently once more. For one point, will the ACLs have the best record at the end of Round 1 (13 games)? A tie counts if you answer yes.

2) Matchups: Predict the winner of the following 3-game Opening sets. No sweep guesses this round. One point each (10 possible).
- Rattlers @ Rum Runners
- Koi @ Miners
- Knights @ Sweets
- Kraken @ Landlubbers
- ACLs @ Maniax
- Robots @ Rougarou
- Dogs @ Honey Badgers
- Garden Hammers @ Madmen
- Blues @ Bums
- Argonauts @ Brewers

3) For one point, predict which team will have the largest margin of runs in a victory (biggest blowout), AND predict the margin (3 points for nailing the run differential in the blowout on the nose, 2 points for being one off, 1 point for being 2 runs off).

4) Will there be a no-hitter tossed this round? 2 points for yes, and an additional 2 points for naming the pitcher. 1 point for no.

5) How many hitters will be sporting an OPS above 1.000 at the end of this round? You need to nail this one, for 2 points.

... the first 13 games. Everyone will have the same days off again this year (I think... right Brendt?), which should be every other Sunday. 13 games per round.

Thanks Kyle. I guess I should have read the questions before asking mine. On question 1, if the ACL's are tied for best record does that qualify as best?
