Series Highlights
~ Blues @ Dogs - In a very closely contested series, Scurvy comes out on top two games to one. The highlight of the series is a game two matchup between Zack Wheeler and Gerrit Cole. The dueling aces do not disappoint and the two depart the game with the Dogs up, 1-0 through the 8th inning. Scurvy's pen gives up an unearned run in the ninth to knot up the score, but pinch hitter Oscar Mercado provides the winning hit with a tenth inning walk off single to propel the Dogs to the 2-1 victory.
~ Rattlers @ Rum Runners - The Rattlers offense comes to bear, scoring 28 runs in the three game series and Windy City sweeps the Runners in Chicago. The series leaves the two teams tied up in third place in the KML with 73-65 records.
~ Bums @ Miners - Phoenix is getting back on track, taking two of three from the Frick leading Bums. Pitching is the name of the games with Phoenix' Freddy Peralta (6.2 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 9 K) and Aaron Nola (20th win) pacing the Miners to victories in the first two games of the series. Bako ace, Anthony DeSclafani salvages game three for the Bums with seven one run innings to win his 17th of the season. Josh Hader strikes out the side in a scoreless ninth to earn his 34th save and lower his ERA to 0.16.
