Round 12 - Final GIG Regular Season Round

Gents, we've made it to the final regular season round of the MSB 2022 season. Well done, and good luck! And remember, there are 14 games in this final round.

1) Up jumped the Devil! We have a new playoff contender in the KML! The Defending Champion Ankeny ACLs are 2 games out of a playoff spot with 14 games to play! At the start of our last round (11), the ACLs were 63-69, 7 games behind the then 5th place Rattlers. All Ankeny then did was go 11-2! And sheesh, the Rougarou said "Hello Again" too, by winning 10 of their 13 games, making this last 14 games a fun fest! Question: With the Landlubbers securing 2nd place behind the Winds (congrats to Mike Loar for clinching first place, by the way!), predict the TWO final playoff teams in the KML and get the points in parenthesis if they get in.

2) As you probably already know, the Frick playoff teams have been decided for a while now. It's just the order of the 2-3- and 4 seeds that remains unknown. My Blues took a slide in Round 11, and sit in 4th place. Rod's Dogs have come on strong in the second half and moved to just a game behind the 2nd place Miners, holding steady as usual. Congrats to Brendt for clinching the division title, by the way! Question: Guess the 2-3- and 4 seeds in their exact order. Ties will count. 4 points if you get it right. Nuthin' if you don't.

3) Triple Crown Watch: The Rattlers' Vlad Jr had a killer Round 11. Ten jacks! He is in the clear in HRs with 59 (17 more than 2nd place hitter Ohtani of the Dogs). He is 10 RBI ahead of Landlubber Matt Olson (132-122). It's the batting average we need to keep our eyes on, where he is .009 points ahead of teammate Tim Anderson (.333-.324). Stranger things have happened. Question: Does he get the Triple Crown? Yes = 1 point. No = 5 points.

4) The streakers are out in force heading into Round 12! The Bums have won 8 straight, and the Winds and Miners have won 6 straight. The Miners are the only team with any skin in the game at this point. Question: Nail their win streak total, get the points:
Ends at 6? 1 point
7 or 8? 2 points
9 or 10? 3 points
11+? 5 points

5) Let's finish off the regular season with a few good matchups that will certainly have a hand in determining seeding and spots. Pick the winner of the 3-game sets, get 1 point each. Pick ONE sweep (3 extra points), no penalty for losing.
