GIG-2019 Round 10

With just 4 rounds to go plus the bonus points Rod created at the beginning of the season (playoff predictions), we still have 13 teams within 15 points of the lead! Brian Barnes (Rougarou) heads the pack alone with 66 points. Well done!

Onto Round 10…

1) The Dogs and Kraken are tied for the most wins when trailing after 7 innings (10). That’s pretty impressive after 119 games.
a) For one point: Which team (Kraken or Dogs) will be ahead of the other in wins when trailing after 7 innings (not necessarily leading the league - they just happen to be leading now) at the end of Round 10? (If they’re tied, everyone gets one point.)
b) For one point: What will the high win total (when trailing after 7 innings) be?

2) The Kraken are an astounding 11-0 in extra innings! Talk about impressive!
For one point: Will the Kraken lose an extra inning game in Round 10? (Answers count regardless of whether they even get into an extra inning game.)

3) The Madmen have been involved in a shocking FIFTY-TWO 1-run games! Out of 119, that’s insane. The manager must have multiple ulcers by now. I mean, seriously, compare 52 to the least amount of 1-run games: 26 (half!) by my Blues.
Question: How many 1-run games will the Madmen have (total) at the end of Round 10? (2 points if you nail it, 1 point if you’re one off)

4) Series of the Week: Cache Hogs visit the Rum Runners
The Cache Hogs have a 3 game lead on the Rum Runners for the 2nd Wild Card spot in the KML. The Rum Runners have a slightly more difficult schedule in Round 10 than the Hogs do (just by a quick glance of the collective winning percentage of the teams they play).
a) For one Point: Who wins their 3-game series in Chicago?
b) Bonus: How many total runs will be scored in the 3-game set? (4 if you nail it, 3 if you’re 2 runs off, 2 if you’re within 4 runs, 1 if you’re within 6 runs).
c) Fun Question: Will the Rum Runners catch the Hogs by the end of Round 10 (tie = yes)? If you say YES, you get 3 points. (No = 1 point.) But if the Rum Runners don’t catch the Hogs, and you said YES, you’ll get -1. Choose wisely!

5) Other highlighted series this round:

For one point each: Name the series winner.
d) Bonus (OPTIONAL): Will any of the teams above sweep the series? You may name ONE team you believe might sweep, and if they do, you get 3 points. If that team doesn’t sweep, you will lose the point you gained by claiming them the winner. Consider it like calling a swish in H.O.R.S.E. This bonus question is optional (you may leave it blank and just predict the winners if you wish).
