~ In Rolla, a knockdown drag out affair unfolds between Ankeny and Rolla. The two teams run through FIFTEEN pitchers as the offenses combine for 27 hits, including 3 doubles, 3 triples, and 6 home runs, work 15 walks, and force the two staffs to throw almost 400 pitches! Mookie Betts leads the ACL's with four hits, including his 26th home run, and four RBI and Ankeny score two in the top of the ninth to take a 12-11 win.
~ Knights pitching, led by starter Max Fried's six strong innings, shutout Lakeview on one hit. Lorenzo Cain (double, triple), Mike Zunino (double, HR), and Brad Miller (2 HR) lead the offense to a 10-0 run away victory.
