Game Highlights - July 1st
~ Mike Trout homers twice and drives in five runs, leading Detroit to a wild 9-8 victory over Mother Lode.
~ Giancarlo Stanton clubs a walk off homer in the 11th inning to lead AZ over Chicago, 8-7.
~ Pete Alonso was evidently a little irked at being left off the All-Star balloting. The Bums DH has homered in six straight games to take the league lead from Cody Bellinger who himself had a stretch of seven games in which he hit ten home runs in mid May. Bellinger hit more home runs during his stretch, but he did not have the consecutive game stretch Alonso is currently on.
Game Highlights - July 2nd
~ Alonso now has eight home runs over seven straight games. Since being shutout by the Robots a week and a half ago, the Bums as a team have sent 28 balls over the fences in nine games.
~ On this day, the Scully rule the Harwell:
