Game Highlights - July 20th

~ Pittsburgh's Dallas Keuchel shuts out the '27 Yanke . . . . uhhh, ACL's (is there really much difference?), with a 4 four hit complete game and the Honey Badgers take a 3-0 win over Ankeny. Trey Mancini and Wil Myers both homer to lead the offense.

~ Moonstruck defeats Windy City, 6-3, to win their fifth game in a row and, coupled with Phoenix and Bako losses, creeps within four games of the Scully division lead. Caleb Smith throws five shutout innings to start the Blues toward the win. Pedro Baez then gives up all three runs to the Rattlers in his one inning of work (yet comes away with the win, . . . ::shakes head:: . . . ) and Max Muncy delivers the big blow with a three run homer in the seventh to plate the winning runs.

Game Highlights - July 21st

~ Another 3-0 finish in the Pittsburgh/Ankeny series; this time the ACL's flip the script and shut out the Badgers. Trevor Williams and Gio Gallegos combine on the five hit shutout.

~ Six in a row for Moonstruck, but the Blues gain no ground today as Phoenix wins big, 10-3 and Bako's Josh James continues his strong showing winning his fourth game with five strong, nine K innings as the Bums take a 2-0 shutout over Chicago.

~ New York completes a (mini) sweep of Detroit. After a 9-3 win yesterday, the Knights score a 7-3 victory today. Joc Pederson leads the charge with three home runs and five RBI in the series, and Jackie Bradley Jr. lends support with a homer in each game as well. The Knights are gaining steam and are 6-4 over their last ten games, and being in the Uecker division . . . well, who knows...
