Not a lot of time tonight for recaps, so let's highlight just a few series:
~ Chicago welcomes Brooklyn to town in a clash of Harwell division rivals. Brooklyn comes in owning a four game lead over Chicago, but the Runners take two of three in the series to draw within three games.
~ Moonstruck goes into Phoenix trying to pick up ground in the Scully division while also holding off Scurvy in the Wild card race. Phoenix is stuck smack in the middle of division leading Bako and Moonstruck and can ill afford to lose ground to either in the playoff picture. In what turns out to be a bit of a slugfest of a series (an average of 14 runs scored per game), the Miners come out on top, winning two of three.
~ Scurvy is the big mover over the three games, sweeping AZ to close within one game of Moonstruck in the Frick Conference Wild card race. Different hero's each night lead the Dogs; from Gerrit Cole's strong 8 innings in game 1, to a team wide effort in game 2, to big nights at the plate from Shohei Otahni and Kyle Schwarber (each with a pair of HR) in game 3.
