Game Highlights
~ The ACL's ride Mookie Betts' two homers and five RBI to a 7-5 win, their seventh in a row, to clinch the Caray Division crown. Betts has faded somewhat but still stands as a clear MVP candidate with his 38 home runs and league leading 142 RBI.
~ Bako rides Noah Syndergaard's right arm to a 2-0 shutout. In eight starts since arriving in Bako, Syndergaard has gone 7-1 and posted a 1.33 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and a 61/10 K/BB rate. The Bums magic number is reduced to four.
~ Rolla and Grants Pass both win, keeping the Sweets one game ahead of the Brewers, with the Argos four games back and the Badgers slowly losing touch five games back.
~ Brooklyn and Chicago remain tied atop the Harwell after both suffer losses.
