Playoff Race Highlights

Harwell
~ Chicago rallies late from a 4-1 deficit, scoring two in the 6th and two in the 8th to squeeze out the 5-4 win.  Brooklyn's comeback is even more extreme.  The Kraken enter the bottom of the 9th down 8-4 but parlay three walks, an error and a couple doubles into a five run walk off rally.  With the 9-8 victory, Brooklyn holds its one game lead in the division.

Uecker
~ Grants pass rides rookie centerfielder Jarred Kelenic's first career home run, a grand slam in the 3rd inning, to a convincing 10-5 win.  Rolla's Merrill Kelly corrals Bako's offense holding them to just two runs, unfortunately he was matched up against Noah Syndergaard who has been absolutely lights out since arriving in Bako.  Syndergaard comes one out from a complete game, giving up just three hits and one run as the Bums win their seventh in a row, 2-1.  Grants Pass extends its lead in the Uecker to two games over the Sweets.

Frick Wild Card
~ Scurvy scores six runs in the top of the ninth to ice a 9-2 win over Mother Lode and coupled with Moonstruck's hard luck 4-1 loss to New York, the Dogs draw even with the Blues in the race for the second wild card.  Phoenix drops a 5-4 decision to Pittsburgh but remain three games up in the first wild card race.

Game Highlights

~ A slugfest in Motor City as the Rougarou and Madmen combine for 30 hits and 21 runs.  While the teams evenly split the 30 hits, Lakeview gets the better of the Madmen in the runs column and secure a 12-9 win.  Ironically, every hitter but one in the Rougarou lineup collects a hit.  The one 0-fer on the night . . . . . . batting leader Cody Bellinger who goes 0-5!
