Sept 26

Harwell Division Race
~ Shane Bieber and the ACL's dispatch Brooklyn, 5-1, leaving the door open for Chicago to tie the Kraken atop the Harwell and force a one game playoff.  Alas, Chicago falls to Motor City, 2-0, giving Brooklyn their fifth consecutive division title and the #2 playoff spot in the KML.  Chicago will head to Ankeny to take on the ACL's in the first round, while Brooklyn will host Detroit.

~ The Motor City/Chicago tilt was significant in another major way as well.  Madmen starter Matthew Boyd caps his season by tossing a NO-HITTER!!!  In what takes just 108 pitches, Boyd walks four Runners but does not allow a runner past first base and faces just two over the minimum, courtesy of a pick off and a double play.  Quite the way to end the season for Motor City and Matthew Boyd.

Three extra inning walk off wins:
~ Check out the last four innings in the Ann Arbor/Windy City matchup, in which the Rattlers walk off with a 7-6 win.

~ Stephen Piscotty ends the Lakeview season on a high note with a walk off homer in the 11th inning, securing the Rougarou's 5-4 triumph.

~ Grants Pass surrenders a 7-5 ninth inning lead when Joe Panik hits a game tying two run homer.  Aledmys Diaz follows in the 10th inning with a walk off double, sending the Knights to an 8-7 win.

Batting Title
~ Mookie Betts goes 2-4 in the ACL's 5-1 win over Brooklyn. Christian Yelich cranks his 33rd homer in the same game, but that is his lone hit in four at bats.  Cody Bellinger also homers, his 41st of the season, but the homer is also his only hit in four at bats.  The final batting race standings:
Betts.............310
Bellinger......306
Yelich............305
