Playoff Round 2 - October 11

ACL's at Maniax:
Williams vs Giolito

Betts hit a 2-run HR to put the ACL's ahead 2-0 in the 3rd.
Williams cruised through 6 innings and exited after 94 pitches with the score still 2-0.

Gioito however was pretty good as well. His line for the night was 7 innings, 4 hits, 0 walks, 11 K's. The only damage was the Betts HR.

Anyway, the ACL's bullpen was shaky. Claudio gave up a single and 2 walks to load the bases with only 1-out. But he got out of the threat and the score remained 2-0 heading into the 8th.

Poche however was not as lucky. 4 consecutive singles ended his night, Urias immediately followed with a fielders choice allowing the eventual winning run to score.

Maniax win 3-2 and have a 2-1 lead in the series

Bums at Brewers:
Syndergaard vs Rodriguez

Bums score quickly in the 1st via a 2-run HR by Arenado. Fun fact: Arenado went 5-5 on the night and is hitting .583 so far in the series.

The Bums tacked on another in the 3rd on a Alonso double. Alonzo added another run in the 7th with a bases loaded sac fly so the Bums took a 4-2 lead into the 9th.

Bums closer Hader however was a little shaky. He actually entered in the 8th and gave up an IBB followed by an HBP to load the bases. But he got Cabrera to strike out to end the threat.

The Bums manager stuck with Hader in the 9th and that decision looked like it might backfire when Cron took him deep to LF to make the score 4-3. Again they stuck with their closer even after the tying run reached via a walk with only 1-out. But the faith in Hader was rewarded as he struck out Pham and Semien to end the game.

Bums win 4-3 and have a 2-1 lead in the series
