World Series G6

Clevinger vs Paxton

Brewers take an early lead via a 2-run HR by Cabrera in the 2nd. In case you're wondering, Cabrera is making a serious push for MVP - he's slashing .435/.480/.826 - 3 doubles, 2 HR, 8 runs, 7 RBI, 1 SB. Talk about getting hot at the right time considering he slashed .214/.292/.307 during the regular season. Ya know, kind of like the Brewers in general.

Cabrera scored again in the 5th after he walked to lead off the inning, advanced on a couple singles, and scored on a sac fly. But all things considered the fact that the Brewers only got 1 run out of that mess is interesting, but they do have a 3-0 lead at this point.

Lindor answered with a 2-run HR in the bottom of the 5th to make it 3-2, but then the wheels kind of fall off for the champs. This has become kind of a "thing".

Double, line out for out #1, RBI double, Paxton pulled for RP, fly-out for out #2, RBI double, RBI double, RBI single, single, another pitching change, K to end the inning. But by this point the score was 7-2. The only silver lining was Cabrera wasn't really involved (he had the fly out for out #2). So this could have been worse the way he's swinging the bat. But given the way the ACL's batters are performing this game was essentially over at this point.

And then for good measure Bruan hit a HR in the 7th and then our guy Cabrera reached on an infield single and scored after a couple more singles. He's AV speed but he does seem to go station to station a lot, doesn't seem to try for any extra bases. And yes, this is the most anyone has talked about Asdrubal Cabrera in the history of MSB.

Anyway - Brewers win 9-2 and we're headed to G7 folks. Which is pretty much par for the course for this postseason.

Anticipated starters for tomorrow is Eduardo Rodriguez (12-6, 3.53 ERA during the regular season) for the Brewers vs Trevor Williams (11-7, 2.93 ERA) for the ACL's. The ACL's won G3 5-4 and Williams did pick up the W, but you can make a pretty good argument that the Brewers should have won. ERod pitched more effectively plus the Brewers took a 4-2 lead into the top of the 7th. But that's when Pham allowed 2 runs to score when he misplayed a Betts single for the tying and winning runs. So this G7 should be a doozy.

Good luck gents...
