Koi - Rum Runners Trade

The following trade has been accepted by owners:

Koi get:

Dallas Keuchel ($6.75M - 2017)

Rum Runners get:
Pedro Strop ($2.75M - 2019)
Koi 2018 5th Round

I don't know how the pro-rated salaries will work, but each team has the cap room to make this deal.

Gutsy move by the Koi. Six games back in the wild card is a tough spot to be in at this time of the year. I was in that boat last year and fortunately, I guess, my team faded before the trade deadline and it made for an easier decision. Intra-divisional play will be fun to watch the rest of the year.

It's not a blockbuster for the Koi to acquire Keuchel. He does have a lot of usage available, so I guess he could be shuffled around and he has it in him to throw complete games with my pathetic defense behind him. It is the 2016 version, not 2015 when he won the AL CY.

I've added another arm to my bullpen and a useful pick for 2018.

but don't forget, the Koi also picked up a couple other arms, Smyly and Henderson (and fairly inexpensively I might add). Those moves puts them in a position to really go for it if they choose...
