New team name
Gentlemen, it’s time. This season marks my 12th season with MSB. My original team name was the Arizona Arthritics, poking fun at myself for having been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at age 25, thus forever killing my hopes of being a major leaguer. LOL. But a few years in, I grew tired of labeling my team with such a horrific disease, so I tweaked it to Asterisks, poking fun at baseball’s steroid issues at the time.
Well, having never truly fallen in love with the Asterisks label, the time has come for one last change. Therefore, I now give you the Moonstruck Blues. Just think of all the new nicknames Rod can give me now! Moonstruck is the name of the street I’ve lived on ever since I moved to Tucson in 2006, and “Blues” is simply a nod to my beloved Dodgers.
