Aug. 30th

~ Ann Arbor's Aaron Civale throws an 88 pitch Maddux, leading the Landlubbers to a 3-0 win over Motor City. Civale struck out just three, but kept the Madmen off balance all night, giving up just four hits and walking a pair while allowing just one runner past first base. Jonathan Schoop's three run shot in the fifth gives Civale all the run support he needs on this night.

Aug. 31st

~ The Miners really need something to turn the tables on their last few weeks. Maybe tonight will set the team back on the winning path. The offense pounds out 17 hits and scores 13 runs while Wade Miley gives up four hits and one lone run in his eight innings of work. Phoenix toasts Rolla, 13-1.

~ I usually highlight win streaks as they reach SIX GAMES, but for the Winds that's just another week so is it really worth it... Joe Musgrove gives up homers to Vlad Guerrero (who hasn't...) and Starling Marte, but they are the only two hits he allows as he wins his 19th game of the season. The Winds offense does just enough to pull out the 3-2 victory.

~ Great may be in the midst of an underwhelming season overall, but Logan Webb is certainly not. the Auk ace runs his record to 9-6 with six innings of three hit, nine K pitching. Webb allows just one unearned run, dropping his ERA to 2.52, third in the league.
