GAME HIGHLIGHTS

~ Windy City decides to end the last undefeated, and early.  A six run bottom of the first that sees a little of everything (four hits, two walks, a hit batsman, a run scoring error, and 41 pitches by Chicago starter Braxton Garrett) ends the game before everyone was comfortable in their seats.  From there, Rattler starter Carlos Rodon holds the fort with seven strong to lift Windy City to the 8-2 win and hand the Runners their first loss.

~ Aaron Judge produces the ultimate walk off hit, sending Everest to a come from behind victory.  Trailing 6-2 entering the home half of the eighth, the Yeti's score twice to get within two.  In the bottom of the ninth they score two more to tie the game before loading the bases for Judge.  The Everest slugger takes an 0-1 pitch into the left field bleachers for a walk off grand slam.

~ Roxbury pulls out a 2-1 victory in Santa Ana in one of the strangest pitching performances to be seen in some time.  Seven Robot pitchers take the hill; none of the last five getting any more than two outs.  Roxbury starter Jack Flaherty gives up four hits, walks four and hits a batter, but yields just a single run in five innings of work.  Overall, Roxbury pitchers walk TEN and give up seven hits but somehow keep the Wolves from scoring anything more than that single run.  Weirdness on the baseball diamond...

I thought I was being very clever putting a pitcher in the top middle box. Perhaps it was, but not with the name "Maddux."
