Title: Inter-division trade between Dogs and Blues
Post by: Kyle on January 09, 2020, 07:14:05 AM
The Blues say a fond farewell to 2020 MSB MVP candidate Eugenio Suarez (2020/$5.5M/A2).
The Dogs send over Carlos Carrasco (2021/$8.5M), Jose Abreu (2020/$5M), and Jake Odorizzi (2021/$1.2M).

Good working with you, Rod.

I approve this trade.

This is really a debate on the health of Carrasco. If he’s recovered from leukemia it’s a steal for the Boos. If he’s not? Well, then he’s a two-year anchor against their cap. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Side note - Suarez should be the preseason HR favorite playing half his games in Coors. Looking forward to that :)

If you all haven't read this article from Carrasco himself, I highly encourage you to do so:

Plus, my son is now 8 years cancer free (Hodgkin Lymphoma) and in perfect health, so I have a bit of a soft spot for guys like Carrasco.
