I'm totally putting off doing something else that takes priority over MSB, and I'm sure I'll pay for it later, but check out some fun things I found while looking through old drafts just now:
Best picks of the 2008 draft:

Best picks of the 2009 draft:
- Nolan Arenado, round 5
- Mike Trout, round 3
2010:
- Chris Sale, 57th overall
- Lorenzo Cain, 95th overall
- Christian Yelich, 113
2011:
- Matt Carpenter (me) and Jesus Aguilar (jason) in round 8
- AJ Pollack, round 11
- Josh Donaldson, round 16
2013:
- Mookie Betts, 221 overall! (3rd-from-last player taken in the draft) - Jason
2014:
- Kyle Hendricks, round 14 (2nd-from-last player taken)
Point being there has been at least one MVP/CY winner or close competitor available, sometimes long after most teams are DONE drafting. Happy pickings, boys.
