Clayton Kershaw has yet to be scored on this season. In his third start of the season, Kershaw completes seven 1-hit innings as Tucson plugs away offensively with 11 hits, scoring in four different innings. The result is a 6-0 home win for the Thunder. Kershaw now has 19.2 scoreless innings to open his 2024 season.
Miners @ Argonauts
Mother Lode gifts Phoenix a 2-1 win. More specifically, closer Andres Munoz gifts the win. Entering in a 1-1 tie in the top of the ninth, Munoz gives up back to back singles to open the inning, throws a wild pitch to advance the runners and then balks home the winning run. Phoenix closer Jhoan Duran tries to reciprocate, hitting Yordan Alvarez with a pitch with one out, allowing pinch runner Elly De La Cruz to steal second, throwing a wild pitch to advance him to third before inducing a pair of ground outs to escape with the save and the Miner win.
Sea Wolves @ Kraken
Despite a 5.45 ERA, Brayan Bello stays perfect on the year, running his record to 4-0. 11.8 runs of support will grant a guy a lot of leeway. Tonight the Wolves score the averaged runs, plating 12 on 15 hits (five doubles / five home runs) to breeze to the 12-5 win.
