With the 9.1 pick, the Thunder select Zach Dezenzo, SS, HOU
With the 9.3 pick, the Thunder select Yu-Min Lin, LHP, AZ
I have Dezenzo as a 3B with defensive questions and not a shortstop, but can tell you I'm bummed to see him drafted and kicking myself for not pulling the trigger earlier as he's been on my short list the last couple of rounds.
Also, I think we have similar reading lists. LOL
Indeed, I think we do! Yeah, he's 6'4" and hasn't seen SS all year, apparently. I just like his bat!
At 9.6 Auk is next. Will take Richard Fitts RHP NYY
Unlike my last pick in the 8th round he shouldn't have been taken in the 1st round. I hope.
great auk
ps I made a waiver cut to open my 28th spot for Mr Fitts
Walla Walla selects Nasim Nunez, ss, Marlins.
Arizona Koi select Mike Vasil P NYM.
Arizona is now done drafting
shoot was hoping for Chris Murphy this round. A couple other guys in the majors now, but of course they are injured. Back to the draft board...
Hawaiian Gardens draft Eric Bitonti, SS MIL
Argonauts select Hayden Birdsong, RHP, Giants
I can’t figure out who to cut so the Rougarou are now done. Sorry for the delay.
With the recently acquired pick from the Rougarou (9.12), the Kraken select Justice Bigbie, OF, DET.
I'll post a separate waiver to get to 28.
Now that's an awesome name.
Today's (8/15/2023) draft positions:
9 - Tubemen
10 - Rattlers
11 - Thunder
12 - Dogs
1 - Miners
2 - Bums
3 - Sea Wolves
4 - Thunder
5 - Anglerfish
6 - Auk
7 - Sweets
8 - Hammers
Rattlers draft P Joe Whitman SFG
Please put me on SKIP.
I’ll decide tonight if I’m going to make one more pick or be DONE.
By proxy, the Thunder select Ryan Bliss, 2B, SEA.
Kyle notes, this will be his last pick.
I'll take Chase Meidroth, 2B, BOS.
guys I think my tubemen got skipped. just saw a list shortly ago about a schedule today. We'll take Dominic Canzone Mariners OF. I think of him like another David Peralta. unheralded in the minors, yet just keeps putting up great numbers. hopefully the Mariners will give him a shot.
Not skipped in terms of forgetting to include you, just that once 10 AM passed, you missed your time slot and others are free to pick. Round 5 on tend to go a lot faster due to one-hour time slots.
To go along with our already full stable of underage (ie: teenage) farm hands, Bako selects William Bergolla, SS.
Jr. that is . . . Not the 38 career at bats of Sr. in 2005.
Santa Ana drafts Austin Deming 3B HOU
with that pick, the Sea Wolves will withdraw from the draft
well done everyone
I've emailed Bob for round 10
I'm going to make one more pick
Ty Floyd, SP, CIN
I figure anyone who can strike out 17 in a college world series game is worth a flyer on. And with that, I'm DONE
