Gausman vs Gallen

Inning 1:
Nothing too exciting other than the Winds got a couple people on via an infield single and a walk, both of them who oved into scoring position after a WP. But that was the end of the threat. Score 0-0

Inning 2:
1-2-3, both sides. Score 0-0

Inning 3:
A Carlson triple followed by a sac fly starts the scoring. 1-0 Landlubbers
Also of note - it started raining.

Inning 4:
Hey, it stopped raining.
But a single and an Anderson HR made the score 3-0 Landlubbers.
Tatis answered with a walk, SB, and a run scored for the Winds on a Judge double. Again, I hear good things about this Judge character next season. 3-1 Landlubbers.

Inning 5:
Nothing of note unless you are a fan of a caught stealing. Other than a 30 minute rain delay.

Inning 6:
Winds get a runner in scoring position on an HBP and a single - but that's in. Score still 3-1.

Inning 7:
Both teams went to the bullpen, with less than ideal results. Carlson with a Landlubber HR got it started and then Crawford hit a 2-run HR (both off Cessa) to take a 6-1 lead. Ramirez answers with a 2-run HR of his own to make it 6-3. Once again the Winds also get a runner in scoring position though on a single and SB, but leave him stranded.

Inning 8:
More pitching changes.
Jackson walked the leadoff batter, but then K's the next three 'Lubbers.
Wells gives up singles to start the inning but gets Judge to hit into a ground ball (forcing the runner at 2nd) and then Peralta hits into an inning ending double play. Score still 6-3.

Inning 9:
More pitching changes. Brentz goes 1-2-3 setting the stage for this reporters favorite thing to recap this postseason - Jansen time. As Craig nervously starts drinking. And he's only facing Trout and Schwindel (both as pinch-hitters) and Ramirez. This can't be good. Craig is now doing more than just nervously drinking.
And you know what? 1-2-3. All fly-outs to either RF or CF. Had the wind not been blowing in from RF maybe these would have all been HR. But it's just three flyouts in the boxscore.

Landlubbers win 6-3 and pull off an upset of the 120 win Winds. Amazing season though Mike. Well done...

My congratulations to the Landlubbers nine and good luck in the WS. Kind of a disappointing way to end a remarkable season. But, wait'll next year!
