Aug 1-3

Bums at ACL's:
ACL's win the series (7-1, 1-3, 9-1)
Urias (9-1 on the season, 1.89 ERA) 7 innings, 3 hits, 1 ER, 6 K's in G1
Springs - 6.2 innings, 6 hits, 0 runs, 0 BB, 8 K's in his 1st start of the season in G3

Thunder at Rougarou:
Rougarou sweep (3-1, 9-6, 13-7)
Manoah looked like his 2023 self in G3 (3.2 innings, 7 hits, 6 ER, 2 BB to take the L.
Interesting decision in the 4th by Cyber Kyle. With 2-out and a runner on 2nd he intentionally walks Alvarez to setup the force I guess? Next batter, Gary Sanchez, hits a 3-run HR to put the home team up 6-2. That didn't work.

Brewers at Tubemen:
Tubemen win the series (4-1, 5-6, 5-1)
Tubemen had their chances for the sweep. Score tied 5-5 in the 8th with 2-out Thomas was walked to technically load the bases. The only problem was ball 4 was "just a bit outside" and the wild pitch allowed Perez to score from 2nd for the winning run.

***In case you're not paying attention:
The top 3 teams in the Frick just got rolled by a combined 7-2 record to the 3rd, 6th, and 8th place teams in the KML.

Miners at Sea Wolves:
Sea Wolves win the series (0-3, 5-1, 8-2)
McClanahan with a bright spot for the Miners in G1 - 8 innings, 7 hits, 0 ER, 7 K's. Iglesias with a perfect 9th for his 15th save.

Dogs at Hammers:
Hammers sweep (1-0, 4-2, 7-4)
Ohtani was great in G1 - 6.2 innings, 5 hits, 12 K's
Walker and 3 RP were even better - 9 innings, 6 hits, 1 BB, 10 K's and most importantly 0 runs.

***Hey ummm, that's 5 more wins for the KML and 2 more series wins.

Anglerfish at Kraken:
Kraken sweep (13-4, 4-3, 4-3)
Every Kraken starter with a least one hit. Everyone except "Rally Killer" Benintendi (1-5 on the night) scored at least one run. Gurriel - 5-2-3-5 with a double and a HR
Villar with a 0-4 with 4 K night for the Fish. His .092 batting average on the season is interesting in the 2-hole.

***Hey so this isn't funny anymore. KML is dominating...

Sweets at Rattlers:
Sweets sweep (11-6, 9-1, 8-1)
The Sweets restore the integrity of the Frick! And in doing so move into the final playoff spot as well.
Taillon (6 innings, 7 hits, 1 ER) and Irvin (6 innings, 2 hits, 1 ER) pick up the wins in G2 and G3

***Argos vs one of the bottom teams in the KML, I'm sure the Frick will continue to win after the Sweets showed them how right?

Argos at Robots:
Robots win the series (2-1, 7-11, 8-1)
Gray and Kremer allow 0 earned runs in the clincher.
Is Rutschman the best catcher in the league? I say yes!
.290 average (leads all catchers)
.406 OBP (leads all catchers)
.496 Slug (2nd to SPerez at .499)
The argument against is some of this counting stats don't compare. Only 7 HR for example would be outside of the top 10.

***So much for those winning ways.

Auk at Landlubbers:
Landlubbers win the series (6-8 in 10 innings, 2-0, 6-5 in 11 innings)
That's fun, 2 games go extra innings, sandwiched around a gem in G2 for the Lubbers
Gausman - 7 innings, 3 hits, 0 BB, 0 runs, 6 K's

Koi at Madmen:
Koi win the series (3-2, 1-2, 9-4)
Hip Hip Hooray, another series win for the Frick
Voit was the difference in the series, he played in G1 and G3 (wins for the Koi, sat in G2 (Koi loss)
Voit G1 = 5-1-3-3 (all 3 RBI, bases loaded single in the 2nd scored 2 and a solo HR in the 7th
Voit G3 = a salty 5-2-4-2 line with another HR

***on the night the KML went 20-10 against the Frick. Could have been much worse it if it wasn't for the Sweets/Koi. They had half (five) of the 10 wins.
