KML The KML has tightened up as Santa Ana, Ann Arbor, and Lakeview have each won three in a row and Ankeny has begun to climb as well. Brooklyn has lost three straight after their ten game win streak, and Chicago has played .500 ball over their last ten falling back toward the rising foursome behind them.
Frick The middle of the Frick has shuffled around over the last week-plus. Great has slid as they have lost seven of ten; Tucson and Phoenix have risen as they have won seven of ten. Sandwiched in between those shuffling teams has remained Mother Lode, treading water at .500 over their last ten. At the top of the conference, Bako, on a current 9-1 run, has put a couple games between themselves and nemesis Scurvy, who has dropped three straight.
Sweets @ Thunder Clayton Kershaw has yet to be scored on this season. In his third start of the season, Kershaw completes seven 1-hit innings as Tucson plugs away offensively with 11 hits, scoring in four different innings. The result is a 6-0 home win for the Thunder. Kershaw now has 19.2 scoreless innings to open his 2024 season.
Miners @ Argonauts Mother Lode gifts Phoenix a 2-1 win. More specifically, closer Andres Munoz gifts the win. Entering in a 1-1 tie in the top of the ninth, Munoz gives up back to back singles to open the inning, throws a wild pitch to advance the runners and then balks home the winning run. Phoenix closer Jhoan Duran tries to reciprocate, hitting Yordan Alvarez with a pitch with one out, allowing pinch runner Elly De La Cruz to steal second, throwing a wild pitch to advance him to third before inducing a pair of ground outs to escape with the save and the Miner win.
Sea Wolves @ Kraken Despite a 5.45 ERA, Brayan Bello stays perfect on the year, running his record to 4-0. 11.8 runs of support will grant a guy a lot of leeway. Tonight the Wolves score the averaged runs, plating 12 on 15 hits (five doubles / five home runs) to breeze to the 12-5 win.

Rum Runners @ Hammers Hawaiian Garden's Jonathan Gray has been sensational this season. In 3 of his 5 starts, the Hammers have shutout the opposition. Tonight Gray goes seven innings of shutout ball in an eventual 3-0 win over Chicago. The Runners offense must be praying for a Bull Durham-like "natural disaster" right now; they have been shutout in four of their last five games. For a team who was outpacing the league by a fair distance offensively earlier, this is quite the surprise.
Miners @ Argos A pitchers duel yields just five hits for each team. The difference is, one of those hits is a solo home run and propels the . . . well, take a look for yourself who hits it and who wins. Sandy Alcantara and Reese Olson both pitch outstanding into the late innings.
Wolves @ Kraken Santa Ana's Zac Gallen hasn't been his shutdown ace-like self over his first few starts, but he is the main reason for the Wolves ending Brooklyn's ten game winning streak. On the offensive side, Brandon Belt, Alex Kirilloff and Maruicio Dubon all homer to support the Wolves pitching in their 4-1 victory.
Yetis @ Brewers Cole Ragans pitches a five hit complete game shutout, walking none at striking out eight to lift Everest to the 5-0 win in Grants Pass.
Bums @ Auk Corbin Carroll is one of the hottest hitters in the league. After a 2-5 night with his 8th home run to help Great end Bako's win streak, the Auk rookie sits in the top ten in batting average, OBP, SLG, and OPS (.341/.412/.615/1.027) as well as home runs and RBI (a league leading 23). Great pulls a game close to the top of the Frick with the 6-5 win.
