Captain's Quarters / GIG predictions
Last post by Bob Miller -
I should click on the Immaculate Grid thread just to see what the heck that is about.  But I'm lazy.   But have some ambition to tabulate the results of the GIG top four predictions for each conference.     Frick had six teams at least mentioned once with four different teams with first place votes.    Landis had eight teams receiving at least one vote four teams as well with at least one 1st place vote.

I know there may be few miscounts in here.   My "spreadsheet" had some whiskey spilled on it.   Quite a crises.

FRICK      1st / 2nd / 3rd / 4th
Dogs        9 / 5 / 2 / 1 on all 17 predictions
Thunder   4 / 2 / 1 / 4
Argo        2 / 3 / 6 / 3
Auk          1 / 2 / 3 / 4
Bums        0 / 5 / 3 / 3
Brewers     0 / 0 / 1 / 1

LANDIS
Wolves     12 / 3 / 1 / 0    the most first place votes but left off of one prediction completely
Runners    3 / 2 / 4 / 5
Kraken      1 / 7 / 5 / 0
Madmen   1 / 0 / 1 / 2
ACLs         0 / 4 / 5 / 3
Robots      0 / 0 / 0 / 2
Hammers  0 / 0 / 0 / 1
Rattlers      0 / 0 / 0 / 1
Rougadu   0 / 0 / 0 /  1

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

Robots 1, Rattlers 0
Five Roxbury pitchers combine to shutout Windy City on four hits.  Pinch hitter Seth Brown drives in the winning run with a walk off single in the ninth.

Bums 7, Argos 1
Bako pitching allows a single run on five hits while striking out 9 Argo hitters.  A seven run seventh inning highlighted by Mike Ford's pinch hit grand slam supplies the offense.

Auk 4, Koi 1
Great pitching works through trouble most the game, but ultimately gives up just an unearned run.  Corbin Carroll, off to a hot start, collects 3 hits and his 12th RBI.

Dogs 3, Sweets 1
A healthy Chris Sale could be a real lift to the Scurvy staff.  Sale pitches six innings and gives up a single run to win his second of the season.  Nolan Arenado gives the visitors the winning runs with a two run homer in the top of the ninth.

Runners 13, Madmen 3
On the other end of the spectrum, Chicago plates five runs in the fourth and six in the eighth to take the easy victory at home and run their record to a league best 8-1.

Kraken 16, Hammers 4
Brooklyn raps out 19 hits to blowout Hawaiian.  Chris Taylor has the big game, sending three souvenirs into the stands and driving in six runs.
