Game Highlights - April 10th

~ Pittsburgh's Chris Sale comes within one out of completing a 2-hit, 14 strikeout shutout, leading the Honey Badgers to a victory over division rival Mother Lode.  Wellington Castillo clubs two home runs, the second a two run shot in the eighth icing the 7-0 win.

~ Grants Pass' Noah Syndergaard pitches 8.1 innings of 5 hit shutout ball leading the Brewers to a 2-0 win over Rolla.  Syndergaard keeps his ERA perfect and moves to 2-0 on the young season.  The victories by Grants Pass and Pittsburgh move them into a three way tie with Rolla atop the Uecker division.

~ The Arizona Koi have also started the season hot.  Led by an offense that is currently averaging 6.3 runs per game, the Koi move to 4-2 with a resounding 11-4 win over New York.  Drawing 8 walks and pounding out 12 hits in the game (including 7 XBH), the Koi jump out to a 10-0 lead by the third inning.  Ace Luis Severino rights his ship after a rough opening day, pitching six innings and striking out seven.


Game Highlights - April 11th

~ Shane Bieber and Hansel Robles combine on a six hit shutout and Ankeny routs Hawaiian 10-0.  The offense works 10 walks and raps out 13 hits led by Mookie Betts' 3 hits and 4 RBI.  The

The Rattlers and Rougarou are tied atop the league at 6-1.  Each win today, but in much different ways:
~ Windy City gets into a shootout with Roxbury, riding Rhys Hoskins  3 hits, two homers, and 5 RBI to a 9-6 win.  Vlad Guerrero Jr. also homers, scores three runs and drives in a pair.

~ Justin Verlander overwhelms the Detroit lineup, completing 7 shutout innings allowing just 4 hits, while striking out 16.  A pair of solo homers from Yordan Alvarez and Evan Longoria is all Lakeview needs to stymie Detroit, 3-0.

~  Rolla's Hyun Jin Ryu needs just 88 pitches to complete a one hit, seven K shutout, leading the Sweets a 1-0 win over Grant Pass.  Manny Machado supplies the only run of the game with a sixth inning homer.
