Upper management of the Madmen are happy to offer AJ Pollock arbitration. With a war of 0.9 in 2017, his salary ICE of 2M gets slashed in half to 1M. Pollock wasn’t happy but then again he keeps getting hurt!
Initially when I looked at this, I thought I had screwed up again. However, according to Baseball Reference, his WAR was 2.9. You were looking at dWAR which doesn't take offensive stats into account. Through BR, he'd have a $2M salary.
His fangraphs WAR is 2.1, which gives him the same $2M. I assume you still want to do this given that you are already paying that for him?
