April 18

HotN:
Defending champion Cutthroats bust out the whooping stick, winning 18-5 over the Robots. There was offense a-plenty in this one as they accumulated 16 hits and 9 walks, and didn't even bat in the 9th as they were the home team. Chirinos lead the way going 4-6 scoring 3 runs with 2 RBI.

Honorable Mention #1
On the flip side - the Rattlers and Bums had virtually no offense. They had a combined 7 hits and 6 walks. The winning, and only run, was scored by Altuve in the top of the 1st after he singled, stole 2nd, stole 3rd, and scored on a wild pitch that somehow Encarnacion swung at and struck out on. Where is ESPN on that sequence?

Honorable Mention #2
Last night the Brewers won on a walk-off single, that wasn't dramatic enough for them so they won 5-1 in 12 innings on a walk-off grand slam. Calhoun with the big blow as the Devils lose again.

Honorable Mention #3
After seeing the email comparing the number of walks issued/drawn on the Devils, I assumed that Forsythe would be the league leader in walks. Nope. That honor goes to Santana from the Cache Hogs who has 18. He also has an ugly batting line otherwise though (.191/.409/.362) and that includes a 3-4 with a HR and 3 RBI game tonight. Oh, and Judge hit 3 HR tonight to give him 6 of the year. Cache Hogs win 9-4 over the Sweets.
