The Sweets campaigned for some love from the HotN - so here it is

The Sweets took a pair from the Madmen, G2 featured a near perfect game from Quintana as he allowed only a 1st inning walk and a double in the 3rd as the Sweets won 3-0. Quintana pitched a complete game and struck out 10. The Sweets pull within 3 of the Nomads in the Northwest with the wins. However, it's looking like only one team from the Northwest will make the postseason so winning the division is the only path to the playoffs (at this point). But the Rainiers (4GB) and Cuttys (6GB) may have something to say about that too.

(dis)Honorable Mention #1:
The ACL's pitching staff can't wait to leave Colorado fast enough as they allowed 25 hits and 12 walks in the pair of games to the Dogs. However they still managed a split as in G1 the Dogs pitching was just as bad (10 hits and 8 walks). In G2 however Kershaw pitched a two-hitter for the Dogs in a CGSO while Paxton was rocked for 14 hits and 4 walks in 5 innings.

(dis)Honorable Mention #2:
The Astersucks take two from the Robots - 10-3 and 7-6 to extend their lead in the Western to two games. Enough said about that.

Honorable Mention
Hosmer makes an immediate impact in the Cache Hogs lineup (he had been riding some pine since his acquisition) as he goes 2-4 with a pair of runs scored and an RBI in the Cache Hogs 6-2 win over the Koi. Data City is still 7GB from Ankeny in the East, but have a comfortable 6 game lead over the Rattlers for the final Wild Card sport in the Harry Carey.
