May 24 (doubleheader)

HotN:
Key matchup between potential playoff teams as the Boos traveled to Orange County. And the game didn't disappoint. The Devils scored first with a 2-run HR by Freese in the 2nd (side note that's the 3rd HR that Strasburg has given up. Just thought that was interesting since that was a GIG question a couple weeks ago). The scored stayed 2-0 until the 6th when 3 consecutive Boos doubles tied the game. Holt scored after tripling to put the Devils back ahead in the 7th, the Boos answered in the 8th with a Cain single, SB, and an RBI single by Suarez. And that's where the scored stayed until the bottom of the 12th when Turner got on base with a BB, got into scoring position with a SB, and IBB set up the force - but that didn't matter because Moreland hit a walkoff 3-run HR for the Devils 6-3 win.

Honorable Mention #1:
In another matchup between potential playoff teams the Cache Hogs nipped the Miners (winners of 5 straight coming into the game) 2-1. Musgrove improved to 4-3 on the season for the Cache Hogs, Oh with his 10th save.

Honorable Mention #2:
Pitching matchup between two big lefties - Bumgarner for the Cuttys and Ray for the Dogs
Bumgarner = 9 innings (CG), 2 hits, 2 walks, 1 run, 7 K's
Ray = 6 innings, 2 hits, 0 walks (which is an amazing stat by itself), 0 runs, 10 K's

The Dogs bullpen finished it off for the 1-0 win.
