Verlander allowed a leadoff HR to Hicks and then was dominant the rest of the way.
7+ innings, 5 hits, 1 run, 1 walk, 16 strikeouts

The problem is Nola matched him, and then some with a complete game shutout
9 innings, 6 hits, 0 runs, 1 walk, 6 strikeouts

Miners win 1-0 over the Argonauts.

Verlander finally delivers and it's not enough. It's been that kind of season.
