With opening day jitters out of the way, we had a bunch of high-powered offenses on display starting with:

The Blues taking last night's loss seriously in putting up 16 runs against the Kraken.  In this 16-3 rout, the Blues hit 7 home runs with both Muncy and JD Davis exiting the park twice.

Not to be shown up, the Rattlers were hitting to all corners of the Landlubbers park and won 10-0.  The Rattlers managed 15 hits though unlike the Blues win, only JD Martinez was able to leave the park.

Mike Minor of the ACLs had a great start to the season with 9 Ks over 8 IP.  But the pitching really didn't matter as the ACLs also scored 10 runs to beat the Brewers 10-3.

Closer to my heart, the Miners took advantage of Coors Field in putting up another 10 runs against the Dogs to even the series.  Miners win 10-7.

Cutthroats off to a strong start as they take the second game of the series 8-3 off a strong performance by Robbie Ray (10K over 5 IP).

When the season started, who would have thought the Madmen would be leading the league in runs scored?  Not this intrepid beat-writer.  But they are after scoring another 6 runs against the Rum Runners to take the second game 6-3.

And finally, one dominating performance as Jacob DeGrom pitched a complete game shutout with 11 K.  Though the Sweets did get on base 8 times, they couldn't put anything together against the Argonauts.  Just throwing bullets.
