April 18-19

April 18

Folks, this may be the most improbable statistic in MSB right now but the Devils are now 7-0 in 1 run games after their 6-5 win against the league-leading ACLs.  The game entered the 9th with the score tied 5-5, but unfortunately for Coach Jason, he left Trevor Hill in one batter too long as Hill's walk to Corey Dickerson ended giving the Devils a man on first that they were able to move over to third and then drive home with a Goldschmidt sacrifice.

In an example of a situation that everyone expected, after a slow start the Blues are now on a tear winning 9 of their last 11. This, combined with recent sluggish performances by the rest of the Scully has allowed the Blues to surge into 2nd place with their sights set on the Miners.  The Blues were able to do this behind a sweep of the visiting Bums and now winning the first 2 in a home series against the Dogs.

The Brewers split a pair with the Argonauts at home with game 1 going to the Argos 6-5 and game 2 going to the Brewers 6-0.  The Brewers performance in the second game was quite impressive as they had 5 hits and 4 walks against 2019 Cy Young winner Jacob DeGrom while Syndergaard served up a gem - 3 hits over 7 innings.
