June 28 - 29

Everything is right in the world again as the ACLs win two over the Miners.  The first was a 9-1 blowout in which ACLs batters scored 7 runs against Aaron Nola by the end of the 4th.  The second victory was similar to game 1 between the two teams and was much more evenly matched with the game ending up in extra innings.  But the powerful ACLs offense was not to be denied and, despite (or perhaps because of) the 4 pitchers used by the Miners in the 10th inning, the ACLs were able to tack on a pair of runs for the 7-5 win.
Remember when the Rum Runners went on a 13 game win streak to nearly draw even with the Kraken?  Well after a 6 game win streak by the Kraken, that dead-heat is no longer so even as the Kraken now have a 6 game lead again.  The Kraken were able to pull the last three wins off against the Sweets with an 8-6 win, a 11-10 win in the 10th inning, and a 10-5 win.

The Blues are on a bit of a tear and have closed to 4 in the Scully.  This came on a 3 game home sweep of the Cache Hogs.  Game 1 (previously mentioned) and game 2 were both close 1-run affairs.  Game 3 must have been when the Blues figured it out.  Jake Odorizzi had a good night with 9 K over 6 IP and the Blues batters scored 11 runs on 17 walks+hits.  Really making the most of their opportunities.  Even Will Smith contributed in game 2 going 2 for 4 with a home run and 2 RBIs.
Take a look at the middle of those standings in the KML!  Landlubbers with 39 wins, Rattlers with 38 wins, and both the Madmen and Cache Hogs with 37 wins.  Though each is out of the wild card race as it stands today, each team is within striking distance of the Rum Runners and Rougarou and I wouldn't be surprised to see one of them separate themselves from the field (either up or down) during the remaining season.

That's it from me today.  We are planning to run the MLB draft starting on August 2 so that gives us an opportunity to align our in-game schedule with our real-life dates and just to give an idea of how I'm going to run the next couple weeks of this season after which time our in-game schedule should match our real-life schedule.

Gotta keep the boys away from the Sailor Jerry.

They'll make another run, Kraken aren't going to run away with this division.

I agree with Brent's assessment. The battle for the Harwell will go on for quite some time.
