~ Sometimes facing 13 batters can carry a pitcher through three full innings. On this day, Dereck Rodriguez faced that many batters in the second inning alone. After leaving the bases loaded in the first inning, the Honey Badgers have no such difficulty emptying the bases in the second. Nine of the thirteen hitters who come to the plate round the bases and score. From there, Pittsburgh cruises to an 11-3 win over Mother Lode.
~ Lakeview second baseman Kike Hernandez has started 2021 on fire. Today he homers twice, including a first inning Grand Slam, leading the Rougarou to a 7-4 victory over Detroit. Lakeview has started the season 4-1 and sits atop the Harry Caray Division.
