April 16th

Game Highlights

~ Rolla and Phoenix lock up in a classic pitchers duel.  10 1/2 innings later, the teams are no better than when they'd started, still locked up 0-0.  After just nine hits combined, Charlie Blackmon singles and Ian Happ follows with a home run to send the Miners faithful (all three of them...) home happy after a 3-0 win.

~ At the other end of the spectrum, Brooklyn opened a can of whup-ass on Windy City.  After falling behind 1-0 after two innings, the Kraken start spraying singles (18 of them total) all over the field, sprinkled with a few doubles and four home runs and score at least one run in every inning.  In the end, Brooklyn scores a 21-3 victory over their division rival and take over the top spot in the Harwell division.

~ Another extra inning walk off in Lakeview, a 2-run Evan Longoria homer in the 11th, sends the Rougarou to a 7-5 win over Chicago.

Goodness, Dan! That'll boost a run differential.
