Game Highlights
~ Luis Castillo and Shane Bieber duel in Ankeny in a true battle of aces. Chicago's Castillo surrenders just three hits and one run over eight complete innings, while Bieber allows just three hits but pitches shutout ball through his eight innings leading the ACL's to a 1-0 victory. Francisco Lindor led off the bottom of the first inning with a triple and scores three pitches later on a ground out and that's all the offense either team could really muster.
~ Hitting Performance of the Night goes to New York's Marcel Ozuna, who leads the Knights to an 8-4 win over Phoenix, breaking New York's nine game losing streak. Ozuna gives the Knights an early 1-0 lead with an RBI single in the first, follows that with a grand slam in the second, and caps off his two homer, seven RBI game with a two run shot in the 8th.
~ Ann Arbor's Corey Kluber earns the Pitching Performance of the Night with a complete game, three hit, one walk shutout over Hawaiian. Kluber strikes out nine Hammer hitters in his best start of the season.
