However, with one triple and a league leading EIGHT home runs, Hernandez ranks fourth in the league with a .717 SLG%. Hernandez' solo shot today is all the Sweets can muster against Mother Lode starter Kyle Hendricks though, and Rolla drops a 2-1 game to the Argos. The winning runs are provided by Stephen Vogt who hits his fist homer of the season, a two run shot in the second inning.
~ It's been a bit of a struggle so far for Scurvy's new ace, Gerrit Cole, but today he dominates, allowing just four hits in eight innings while striking out 12. Justin Turner provides the run support with a three run blast down the left field line in the fifth.
~ Eight wins in a row for Pittsburgh, who scores six runs early and then cruises behind Chris Sale to a 6-2 victory over New York.
