Game Highlights
~ The Rattlers Mike Leake scatters 8 hits and one walk in pitching Windy City to a 1-0 shutout over Chicago. Windy City manufactures a run in the fourth inning with a single, wild pitch, error and a Tim Anderson sacrifice fly.
~ Mother Lode's Zack Wheeler completes his own shutout to lead the Argos to a 6-0 victory over struggling Grants Pass. Wheeler allows just four singles and strikes out eight. A six run 2nd inning, highlighted by home runs from Shin Soo Choo and Rafael Devers, provides the run support.
~ Hitting Performance of the Night goes to the Madmen's Joey Gallo, who hits his league lead tying 10th home run, drives in 5 runs and even steals his second base of the season to lead Motor City to a 12-3 drubbing of Pittsburgh.
~ Rolla's Hyun-Jin Ryu continues his light out start to the season with a seven one hit shutout innings to lead the Sweets to an 8-2 win. Ryu remains undefeated at 4-0 and lowers his ERA to 0.50 and his WHIP to an identical 0.50, both figures league leading. The Sweets ace has given up just 16 hits in his 36 innings, but more impressively he has walked only two batters over his five starts.
