Game Highlights

~  Ankeny and Detroit stay hot.  The ACL's take a close 3-2 win over Lakeview for their EIGHTH straight victory while the Maniax win their NINTH in a row with a 5-3 victory over Ann Arbor.

~ Another hot team is the Phoenix Miners.  After stumbling to a 7-10 start, the Miners have won 10 of their last 13 to climb within two games of the Scully division lead.  David Price pitches five effective innings and Kris Bryant slugs his 8th home run and drive sin 3 runs as Phoenix puts away Moonstruck, 6-3.

~ Behind Joe Panik's Hitting Performance of the Night, New York runs away with a 13-7 victory over division leading Pittsburgh.  Panik collects five hits in six at bats, including two doubles, scores two runs and drives in a pair as well.

~ Chicago's Anthony Rizzo clubs his 5th home run and raises his average to .354, second in the league, in the Runners 9-4 victory over Brooklyn.  But one All-Star first baseman is not enough for Chicago, who also boasts Freddie Freeman.  Freeman bests his counterpart with two home runs on the night, raises his average to .345 (3rd in the league), and collects four RBI to raise his total to 27 on the season (4th in the league).
