Game Highlights - May 14th

~ In Scurvy, Sweets starter Merrill Kelly goes eight shutout innings and Dogs starter Jameson Taillon goes nine shutout. Then the bullpen parade begins. Eleven relievers later, Hunter Dozier and Manny Machado end the 14 inning marathon with RBI hits to propel Rolla to a 2-0 win.

~ Motor City puts together a six run third inning, highlighted by a trio of home runs from Christian Vasquez, Whit Merrifield, and Rhys Hoskins, and coasts to an 8-3 victory over the red hot Maniax.

~ Korea versus Japan in Arizona. Mother Lode's Kwang Hyun Kim outlasts Arizona's Kenta Maeda as each starter pitches into the seventh inning allowing just a single run apiece. The Argonauts' Brandon Lowe greets Koi reliever Reyes Moronta with a solo home run with two outs in the seventh and Mother Lode's Jeremy Jeffress makes that hold up, saving the 2-1 win.

Game Highlights - May 15th

~ Motor City's Joey Lucchesi and David Robertson combine to shutout Ankeny. The pair give up just three hits and strike out 12 ACL's in leading the Madmen to a 4-0 victory.

~ The Hitting Performance of the Night goes to the Koi's Giancarlo Stanton. The Arizona slugger doubles and parks two long home runs, the second a two run game winning shot in the bottom of the eighth, and scores three and drives in four in the Koi's 8-6 win.

Bottom of the 9th, runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. Kepler hits a fly ball to CF and the 3rd base coach holds the runners? Gotta send them. Worst case scenario is he’s thrown out, but you still have a runner at 3rd.

Let’s just say our 3rd base coach got a red tag in his locker after the game…
