Game Highlights

~ The Hitting Performance of the Night is awarded to Detroit's Jose Ramirez. The Maniax third baseman goes a perfect 4-4 with a double, two home runs, four runs scored and two RBI to lead Detroit to an 11-3 win over Windy City.

Walk off's in Chicago and Mother Lode:
~ In Chicago, two walks and an infield dribbler load the bases for the Rum Runners ahead of Mitch Garver's game winning single through the left side of a drawn in infield. The Runners keep pace with Brooklyn in the Harwell with the 6-5 victory.

~ In Mother Lode, Koi reliever Sam Selman may have understandably become a little skittish in the bottom of the ninth after the first hitter almost decapitates him with a line shot into center and the second batter sends another one right through the wickets and into center field. After a single from Brandon Nimmo loads the bases, Shogo Akiyama rips a grounder past a diving Bo Bichette into left field to plate the winning run.

Thanks for doing these recaps Brendt. It helps me see what's going on around the league rather than just focusing on how my team did last night.
