Game Highlights
~I guess it's only fitting if MLB is currently in The Year of the No Hitter . . . MSB should follow suit. The Pitching Performance of the Night is turned in by Chicago's Luis Castillo who throws the leagues THIRD NO-HITTER of the season! Castillo uses 111 pitches to dispatch Hawaiian, facing just one batter over the minimum while striking out 9. As a perfect contrast to the Hammers lineup, each hitter in the Runner lineup collects at least ONE hit as the No-D's score a 5-0 victory.
Congratulations to Luis Castillo and the Rum Runners.
~ Detroit's 7-3 victory, coupled with Ankeny's 6-4 loss has knotted up the Caray division. The Maniax have won four straight and the two teams now sit tied at 34-18. One game behind the Bums record wise, the two Caray rivals boast the two best Run Differential's in the league, arguably placing the top two teams in the league in the same division.
