June 28-29

Game Highlights - June 28th

~  Chicago takes a 2-1 lead into the ninth, but is unable to close out Phoenix.  Miners shortstop Dansby Swanson pokes a grounder through the right side of the infield after a walk and a single put runners on first and second to tie the game at two apiece.  Runners first baseman Freddie Freeman bails out the bullpen though by swatting a lead off homer in the bottom of the inning to walk off the Miners, 3-2.

~ Newly called up Josh James shows a bit of wildness in his first start for Bako, walking five in five innings, but he gives up just one hit and combines with three relievers to shut out Ann Arbor, 6-0.  The Bums offense clubs three home runs, including Pete Alonso's 28th of the season which ties him for the league lead with Cody Bellinger.

Game Highlights - June 29th

~ AZ's Jordan Yamamoto and two relievers combine on a two hit shutout of Chicago. Danny Santana plates Brian Dozier in the sixth inning for the lone run in the Koi's 1-0 win.

~ Rolla's Ivan Nova and three relievers almost equal the Koi's pitching heroics, allowing just three hits and one run to lead the Sweets to a 2-1 nail biter of a win over Ankeny.

~  Detroit's Joe Musgrove and two relievers almost equal the Sweets pitching heroics, allowing just four hits and one run to lead the Maniax to a 3-1 victory over Mother Lode.

~  Bako's Randy Dobnak and three relievers almost equal the Maniax' pitching heroics, allowing just five hits and one run (with 15 K's) to lead the Bums to a 9-1 win over Motor City.

~ Lakeview's Dakota Hudson and two relievers almost equal the Bums pitching heroics, allowing just five hits and one run (with only 11 K's) to lead the Rougarou to a 2-1 win over New York.
