April 19-20

April 19th

~ Roxbury's Mike Foltyneiw . . . Foltin . . . . Foltynewix . . . Folt%&$#* . . . Mike F. goes seven strong three hit innings and the Robots ride a Willy Adames three run homer in the fourth to a 3-1 win over Chicago.

~ The Hitting Performance of the Day comes form Phoenix' Salvador Perez, who continues his hot start with a 4-5 day (including his 5th and 6th homers on the season) and racks up six RBI to lead the Miners to a 9-4 win.

~  Hawaiian's Ranger Suarez earns the Pitching Performance of the Day with a complete game, 2 hit shutout of Ann Arbor.  Suarez is 2-0 on the season with a sparkling 1.61 ERA.

April 20th

~ The Kraken offense stakes starter Andrew Heaney to an early 3-0 lead, but he coughs up the lead with a single, walk, three run home run start to his second inning.  Heaney settles down from there, allowing just two more hits over his final 4 2/3 innings and a two run home run from Lourdes Gurriel in the 5th provide the winning runs as Brooklyn doubles up Motor City, 6-3.

~ Chris Sale remains perfect on the season, winning his third game and lowering his ERA to 1.80 as the Badgers down the Argonauts, 7-1.  Badger DH Eloy Jimenez absolutely crushed his fourth homer of the season so deep to straight away center that Argo centerfielder Ian Happ didn't even bother to turn around.  The blast struck a speaker array just in front of the batters eye an estimated 480 feet away.
