Series Highlights

This set of short series' produces seven sweeps:

~ Motor City sinks Ankeny further under .500 with a pair of extra inning walk off wins.  In the opening game, Bobby Dalbec's run scoring double off the left field wall plates Elvis Andrus with the winning run in a 3-2 victory.  Mike Zunino cracks his 7th homer of the season to provide the walk off heroics in the second game.

~ Moonstruck sweeps Great Auk; game 1 behind Alex Cobb's pitching, and game 2 thanks to a pair of Max Muncy home runs.

~ The Landlubbers continue to roll, taking a pair from Brooklyn, 7-5 and 8-2.  Ann Arbor continues to sit atop the KML with a three game lead on the conference.

~ Pittsburgh breaks out the whooping stick on Rolla, scoring 24 runs in their two game sweep.  Jonathan India paces the 8-5 opening game win with a 4 hit, 2 homer, 3 run, 3 RBI game.  Eloy Jimenez matches India with a 4 hit, 2 homer game the next night.  Jimenez scores four runs and drives in six in the Badgers 16-1 drubbing of Rolla.

~ Carlos Rodon pitches another stellar game to lead Scurvy over Mother Lode 6-0 in the first game of the series, while the offense does the damage in the second with 16 hits and 9 runs in the back and forth slugfest that ends with the Dogs securing a 9-7 win.

~ Bako continues their revenge tour against Grants Pass, sweeping a pair, 4-2 and 2-1, to remain undefeated against the Brewers in 2022.

~ Roxbury pitching completely shuts down the Lakeview offense, pitching a pair of shutouts against the Rougarou.  All told, Sonny Gray, Nick Pivetta and the Robots bullpen complete 18 shutout innings, giving up just four hits while striking out 19.
