July 22-24

Series Highlights

~ Seven wins in a row for Bako as they sweep through old foe, Ankeny.

~ Moonstruck takes the first two games of their series with Lakeview before succumbing in the final game as the Rougarou avoid the sweep with a 5-1 victory.

~ Rum Runners right the ship with a home sweep of Grants Pass.  After identical 6-2 scores in the first two contests, Chicago completes the sweep with a 7-4 win in the closing game of the series.

~ Phoenix stays hot, taking two of three in Santa Ana.  The Winds manage to avoid being swept at home for the first time this year with a 4-1 victory behind Joe Musgrove in game three.

~ Lurking all season on the periphery of the playoffs, Hawaiian looks like they may have caught fire.  After a 2-1 series win over Scurvy, the Garden Hammers have won 12 of their last 14 games to climb a season high 13 games over .500.

~ Brooklyn wins game one of their series with Pittsburgh, 7-6.  Pittsburgh wins game two of the series by an identical 7-6 score.  The Badgers then take the rubber match, 8-3 and win the series two games to one.

~ The Sweets Rolla into Windy City (sorry, had to do it once...) and take two of three from the Rattlers.

~ A tough season for Mother Lode is not made any easier in Roxbury.  The Robots take the first two games before the Argo's salvage one win in the series in the final game.

~ Landlubbers take two of three at home against Great.  Game one is the highlight for the hometown team (not so much for Auk pitching) as the Ann Arbor offense cranks out 24 hits, works 7 walks and benefits from a couple errors to blow out Great, 25-2.

~ Motor City sweeps Arizona.  The highlight of the series is the Madmen's 3-0 game one win in which Jordan Montgomery (8.0 IP) and Drew Steckenrider combine for a No Hitter!  Congratulations to the Madmen.
