Game Highlights - Aug. 3rd

Series Hightlights Aug. 4th-6th

~ Two playoff hopeful teams in the Frick hook up in Moostruck as the Blues welcome their arch rival Scurvy Dogs to town.  The Dogs drop game one, 7-1, as Lance McCullers gets knocked around and hits the showers after just 2.2 innings.  Scurvy rebounds to take game two, 5-3, despite being shutout on one hit through seven innings.  The Blues bullpen has a rough go of it, giving up five runs in the eighth and ninth after Tony Gonsolin pitches six high quality innings.  In the rubber match, Moonstruck gets to Tyler Glasnow early when Will Smith cracks a three run home run in the first to give the Blues the early lead.  Glasnow and the Dogs bullpen shut down the Blues lineup from there, but John Gant pitches seven shutout innings and Rich Rodriguez cleans up a bit of a mess in the eighth before closing out the Dogs in the ninth and giving the Blues a hard fought 3-2 victory and the series win.

~ The Miners take two of three from the Bums in Bako to creep a little closer to the Frick leaders.

~ Arizona drops game one, 11-5, in Pittsburgh but then dominates the final two games of the series scoring 27 runs and winning the series.  Game two sees Koi batsmen rip 24 hits and score 17 runs before plating another ten runs on 14 hits in game three.  Every Koi hitter in both games collects at least one hit.
