Brewers and Argonauts make a deal for a familiar player

A whirlwind couple days see Mike Clevinger head back to his original team, the Motherlode Argonauts.  After initially being told the Brewers where not picking up his arbitration option and he would be let go the Brewers front office quickly turned around and did sign him for one more year.  Now he is on the move to the Argonauts, who are looking for some innings to help fill out their rotation.  For the Brewers part they pick up a draft pick and take back a little bit of dead salary.

Clevinger (2023, ARB3, $3.5M) for Argonauts 4.11 pick and Ryan Zimmerman (2023, $250K)

Clevenger's head must be spinning, but at least he'll be heading back to familiar confines.

Argonauts confirm. Good working with you Brandon.
