Cache Hogs beat the Nomads 14-4. But this game was a lot closer than the final score makes it appear. The score was 7-4 heading into the 9th before the Cache Hogs plated 7, highlighted by a 3-run HR by Todd Frazier. But the real story of the fateful 9th was the Nomads defense. Errors by 1b Goldschmidt and CF Bradley made 6 of those 7 runs unearned. Getting back to Frazier - even though he's only batting .227 he's tied for the league lead in HR (12), 6th in slugging % (.604), and 2nd in RBI (27). Imagine if he put the ball in play a little more often...
